It’s the Lunar New Year holiday season and I’ve spent the past few days enjoying the company of my friends and extended family. As the holiday season draws to a close, I decided to start working on my DPRK360.com website again. I wasn’t satisfied with my old hosting provider as there were plenty of technical […]
I’m thankful to have been invited to speak at Hongik University’s (홍익대학교) design class graduation exhibition and share my opinions and experiences regarding North Korea.
I’m very thankful to my host Emu Artspace and the good people of South Korea for warmly welcoming me to exhibit my works and share my experiences in Seoul.
My friends over at KT Corporation put together a VR experience to showcase Korea and included my @dprk360 materials of North Korea as part of the overall unified experience.
I have just returned from the 2019 Pyeongchang International Peace Film Festival. The desire to see a unified Korea was strongly evident throughout the festival and the application of my 360º videos as a bridge to connect the north and south was a tremendous honor. They were the newly launched Ricoh Theta V and a custom-built 360° camera assembled from a Yi 4K+ action cam with the original lens replaced by an Entaniya 280° fisheye lens. […]
An article published in 2014 by NK News made this claim: “In fact, Pan, who runs a business creating 360° virtual tours for hotels and property developers, first proposed his services to the North Korean authorities via foreign intermediaries outside the country.”
On February 3rd, 2016, I was slapped with a “Copyright Infringement” notice claiming that I had infringed on a song ‘Prologue’ by SM Entertainment, South Korea’s largest K-pop media group that owns some of the biggest names in K-pop (e.g. Girls Generation, EXO and Super Junior). Their claim was that the ‘Clarion Conspiracy’ audio track that I used was copyrighted to them.
